Executive Functioning
LG Tutors specialize in supporting children with their executive functioning skills. These skills are the mental processes that enable us to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and multi-task. Children are not born with these skills—they are born with the potential to develop them.
LG Tutors help teach students how to organize, plan, manage time, maintain focus, self-assess, and study efficiently.

About Lindsey

Prior to Mary McDowell, Lindsey was a classroom teacher in a public elementary classroom in Manhattan, in both general education and gifted and talented settings. Her experiences in the areas of literacy and math, as well as executive functioning and test prep, combined with her intensive training in Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Fundations, provide a unique skill set to enhance learning for all children. Lindsey understands the importance of looking at each child as an individual and developing instruction based upon their strengths and passions.
